MCP Servers

Deploy a custom MCP server

Deploy your own MCP server from GitHub, npm, PyPI, or Docker.

If you have your own MCP server code, Tieline can host it as a managed deployment. You provide the source (a GitHub repository, npm package, PyPI package, or Docker image), and Tieline builds and runs it as a live service.

Before you start: you need admin or owner role in the organization, and your source must be publicly accessible.

Private repositories aren't supported on the public deploy flow. To deploy from a private source, contact support@mcpmarket.com.

Choosing your source

Tieline supports four deployment methods.

Deploying a public package or image runs that code in your organization's environment. Only deploy sources you trust.

Use when you want to deploy a public repository as a managed server. Tieline clones the repo, builds it (detecting the runtime and build process), and deploys it.

  • URL must be HTTPS format like https://github.com/owner/repo
  • Your repository needs a build script or Dockerfile

Deploying

Open Custom Deploy

From Tools in the sidebar, click Browse MCPs, then click the Custom Deploy tab.

Choose your source

Select your source type (npm, PyPI, GitHub, or Docker) and enter the repository URL, package name, or image reference. If deploying a Docker image, also provide the start command.

Name your deployment

Enter a name for your deployment (e.g., "Weather API Service"). The slug auto-generates from the name.

Deploy

Click Deploy. Your deployment is created and enters the "pending" state. Tieline immediately starts the build process.

Your deployment progresses through Pending → Building → Deploying → Running on the deployment detail page.

Redeploying

If you need to rebuild your deployment (after pushing new code, publishing a new version, or making configuration changes):

Open the deployment

Open the deployment detail page.

Rebuild

Click Rebuild. This rebuilds from source and preserves any secrets you've set.
