Create a Collection and upload files

Create a Collection, upload text, Markdown, or PDF files, and replace or remove them later.

Create a Collection, then upload the documents your AI clients should search.

Before you start: company knowledge must be available for your organization (it's in early access). Uploading to a workspace Collection needs admin or owner role.

Create a Collection

Open Knowledge

In the sidebar, click Knowledge.

Start creating

Click New Collection.

Name it

Enter a Name (up to 100 characters). Optionally add a Description (up to 500 characters).

Confirm

Click Create Collection.

The Collection appears in Knowledge, marked Private. Only you can read it until you share it.

Upload files

Open the Collection

In Knowledge, click the Collection's name.

Open the upload drawer

Click Upload files. If the Collection has folders, choose one under Folder, or keep No folder.

Add files

Drop files on the drawer or click choose files. You can add text, Markdown, or PDF files up to 25 MB each.

Upload

Click the upload button, which counts your files (for example Upload 3 files). Up to 10 files upload at a time.

Each file shows its progress, then Queued for processing. In the file table it moves through Processing and Indexing to Ready, when AI clients can search it. Reload the page to see the latest status.

A file that fails doesn't stop the others. Click its retry icon to start that upload again.

Organize files

Open the Collection's actions menu (⋮ next to Upload files) and click New folder to add a folder. To rename, move, or delete a folder, select it in the folder filter above the file table, then use the same menu. Deleting a folder keeps its files in the Collection.

Each file's row menu (⋯) has:

  • Open: the file's source page, with its extracted text and Download original.
  • Rename: change the name shown in Tieline and in search results.
  • Move: move it to a folder, or to another Collection you manage. Another Collection changes who can read the file, so you confirm with Move and change access.
  • Replace: upload a new version.
  • Retry processing: appears when processing failed for a reason that can clear on its own.
  • Delete: remove the file.

Replace a file

Click Replace in the file's row menu, choose the new file, and click Upload 1 file. The current version stays searchable until the new one is ready. Source links that AI clients already shared keep opening the version they cite.

Delete a file or Collection

Deleting a file removes it from search and its source links stop working. Deleting a Collection does this for every file in it. Neither can be undone.

To delete a file, click Delete in its row menu, then Delete file. To delete the whole Collection, open its actions menu, click Delete Collection, and confirm.
